Soon after Roosevelt became president he dominated the news with his many exploits. He combined his knowledge of sports with his knowledge of Politics to help him form the modern presidency.

So a man named John Muir persuaded President Roosevelt to set aside 148 million forest reserves. Roosevelt set aside a 1.5 million acres of water power sites and also another 80 million that experts of the US Geological survey would explore for mineral and water resources.
